ILO held the Forum on Youth Employment through Decent Work in Myanmar
In collaboration with the Department of Labour (Ministry of Labour Immigration and Population), the ILO/My-PEC organized the Forum on Youth Employment through Decent Work in Myanmar 26-27 November 2019 at Thingaha Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.
The forum aims at identifying opportunities and possible ways forward to improve youth employment prospects in Myanmar and involved key stakeholders such as TWG-CL members, Key Ministries, Workers and Employers Organizations, Development Partners and Local NGOs.
Four ASIAN countries representatives from the Philippine, Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia were invited to share their experiences as well. ILO Youth Employment Unit from HQ and the ILO Specialist from DWT Bangkok provided support to the discussions.
