To mark International Women’s Day, the project ran a week long media campaign.

The objective of the media campaign was to highlight the challenges informal sector women workers and entrepreneurs are facing due to COVID-19.

The media campaign amplified the UN Secretary General’s annual statement, where Mr Guterres said women make up the informal sector where income is not secure and there is no insurance, paid leave or safety nets.

Social media cards were shared through social media posts, the project press release appeared on the UN Multi Partner Trust Fund Office webpage and newspaper articles in the Fiji and Vanuatu media.
