  2. Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 1981 (No. 155)

    Mauritius has ratified the Convention concerning Occupational Safety and Health and the Working Environment on 25 July 2014. The Convention will enter into force on 25 July 2015. The Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 2006 (No. 187) has been ratified in 2012.

Authorities and bodies

  1. Responsible authorities

    The Minister is required to appoint an Advisory Council for Occupational Safety and Health.
    The objective of the Council is to give advice and assistance to the Minister in respect of matters affecting the safety, health and welfare of employees at their place of work or lodging accommodation, or of any other persons whose safety, health and welfare may be affected by work activities.
