Sok Samol had a mine accident in Bantany Menchey in 1991 which resulted in below the knee amputation. In 2004 he was assisted by AAR Japan to train as a motorbike mechanic for 12 months. Subsequently Cambodia Trust supported Samol in improving his motorbike repair business. He purchased a compressor and over time his business flourished. He became a role model for others with disabilities. He took on trainees to give them practical experience.
