Child labour: My-PEC

Myanmar Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (My-PEC) Project

The project will respond to identified gaps, through the accomplishment of five outcomes or components which the Project will implement:
  1. expanded knowledge base on child labour in Myanmar,
  2. increased awareness and knowledge about child labour,
  3. improved legal and institutional environment contributing to the elimination of child labour,
  4. improved capacity of national and local stakeholders to coordinate, network and advocate for the elimination of child labour, and
  5. reduced child labour in pilot target areas.

The project approach is two phased. The first phase aims at expanding the knowledge base through research, while the second phase is focused on delivery of interventions – both at the national and community level.
