General Affairs Committee
General information
The General Affairs Committee will meet from Monday 30 May, as required. The plan of work for the Committee was adopted in its first siting.
Under article 7(2) of the Standing Orders, the General Affairs Committee shall consider and report on any matter referred to it by the Conference.
Two items are expected to be referred by the Conference to the General Affairs Committee:
(i) the inclusion of safe and healthy working conditions in the ILO’s framework of fundamental principles and rights at work;
(ii) the amendments to the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 adopted at the meeting of the Special Tripartite Committee in May 2022.
The Standing Orders of the Conference apply in full to the Committee with the exception of article 42(3) (weighing of votes)
