    How to make social protection inclusive of people living with HIV and key populations: a checklist

    This joint publication of UNDP and ILO provides a framework for countries to ensure inclusion of people living with HIV and key populations in social protection policies and programmes. It provides a set of questions to assist in the planning and evaluation of inclusive HIV-sensitive and gender-responsive social protection programmes. The publication is based on an online discussion and a Global Dialogue on Social Protection for People Living with HIV and Key Populations, organized by UNDP and ILO in 2021. The dialogue convened participants from 52 countries to share strategies and good practices and allowed multiple stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue on how social protection schemes can be more inclusive. The checklist was pilot tested by UNAIDS in Benin, Central African Republic and Cote d'Ivoire. The publication was launched at a pre-conference during the 24th International AIDS Conference 2022.
