  1. From Protocol to Practice: A Bridge to Global Action on Forced Labour (The Bridge Project) Nepal

    1 September 2015 - 31 July 2023

    The project aims to strengthen the capacity of the relevant Ministries and stakeholders, to develop, implement and monitor policies and national action plans on forced labour, provide capacity building to improve law enforcement, and support for public awareness campaigns to address all forms of forced labour.

  2. Integrated Programme on Fair Recruitment (FAIR) Phase I

    1 August 2015 - 31 July 2018

    This global project seeks to contribute to the promotion of fair recruitment practices globally and across specific migration corridors in North Africa, the Middle East and South Asia. Target countries for pilot projects include Tunisia, Jordan, Nepal and the Philippines.

  3. South-South Cooperation for the Protection of the Rights of Migrant Workers in Latin America and the Caribbean Region

    1 March 2015 - 31 August 2016

    The project aims to promote the effective recognition of the rights of migrant workers in Latin America and the Caribbean region, through the sharing of good practices and the strengthening of policies and actions that aim to protect the rights of migrant workers in the countries involved in the initiative.

  4. Fair recruitment of Guatemalan migrant workers in Mexico through South-South Cooperation

    1 March - 31 December 2015

    Global migration flows are increasingly including a strong South-South connotation. Labour mobility from one country to another has a key role to play in economic development and mutual growth of both the receiving and sending countries.

  5. Forced Labour Action in the Asian Region (FLARE) Phase II

    1 January 2014 - 31 December 2015

    The FLARE project aims to strengthen the capacities of the national institutions to prevent and address forced labour in East and South-East Asia.

  6. Towards stronger measures to combat abusive labour recruitment and to prevent human trafficking

    1 October 2013 - 30 June 2015

    The present proposal aims to address regulatory and enforcement gaps with regards to contemporary labour recruitment practices within and across national jurisdictions as part of a broader strategy to prevent human trafficking.

  7. Work in Freedom

    1 March 2013 - 30 April 2018

    The Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment (MEWOE), The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA), Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF), National Coordination Council for Workers’ Education (NCCWE) and Association of Recruiting Agents, other government ministries, departments, national and international NGOs and International trade unions as appropriate for achieving the project outputs.

  8. Global Action Programme on Migrant Domestic Workers and their Families

    1 February 2013 - 31 January 2016

    The project seeks to promote the human and labour rights of migrant domestic workers worldwide by addressing the challenges that make migrant domestic workers particularly vulnerable to the risks of exploitation and abuse.

  9. Work in Freedom: Preventing trafficking of women and girls in South Asia and the Middle East

    1 January 2013 - 31 December 2018

    The ILO-DFID “Work in Freedom” programme promotes empowerment and education, fair recruitment, safe migration and decent work for women and girls from South Asia, and thus contribute to the prevention of human trafficking in this region and in the Middle East.

  10. Consolidating and Disseminating Efforts to Combat Forced Labour in Brazil and Peru

    27 December 2012 - 26 December 2016

    The overall purpose of the project is to strengthen efforts to combat forced labour in Brazil and Peru.
