How to accelerate progress towards universal access to safe water

ILO Director-General and Chair of UN Water, Gilbert F. Houngbo, has commended the adoption of the Water Action Agenda at the landmark UN 2023 Water Conference in New York. The Agenda aims to tackle the growing global water crisis by mainstreaming water issues in intergovernmental processes.

ILO COOP meets with the African Union delegation to discuss collaboration on cooperatives and the wider social and solidarity economy

The meeting took place on March 15, 2023 at the ILO Headquarters in Geneva with the participation of ILO Cooperatives Unit and African Union Commission representatives from the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Blue Economy and Sustainable Environment Department and Labour Employment and Migration Division.

42nd Regular Meeting of The UN Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE)

The 42nd UNTFSSE meeting was held virtually on 7 March 2023. It brought together around 30 participants from seven member (ILO, UNRISD, ECLAC, UNDP, UNDESA, UNCTAD and OECD) and eleven observer organizations (Catalyst2030, CIRIEC, CSEND, EMES, EURICSE, DIESIS, GSEF, Euclid Network, ICA, SSE International Forum, RIPESS).
