The Compilation of decisions of the Committee on Freedom of Association is now available on line.

The International Labour Office has prepared this publication, which compiles the Committee’s conclusions in more than 3,200 cases, to give effect to a resolution adopted by the International Labour Conference in 1970, which invited the Governing Body to instruct the Director-General to publish and distribute widely in concise form decisions taken by the Committee on Freedom of Association.

The Compilation is intended to raise awareness and guide reflections for the effective respect of the fundamental principles of freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining. Its online version is a user-friendly tool which facilitates, in relation to each decision, access to respective reports, year of publication, appropriate paragraphs, as well as case numbers and countries involved. An easy access to the full text of each individual case further assists in understanding details and the specific context of the conclusions and recommendations of the Committee.

Since its first publication in 1972, the Office has updated the Compilation on five occasions. This latest version contains decisions in relation to cases examined by the Committee up to its 379th Report and will be regularly updated.
