Launch of the Russian version of the Global Wage Report 2016-17 in Russia and Tajikistan


The Russian edition of ILO's Global Wage Report 2016-2017 was launched in Moscow on 20 February 2017 at the Academy of Labour and Social Relations. Patrick Belser, one of the main authors of #GWR2017, took part in the launch and presented the report together with Nicolas Studer, ILO Moscow, Senior Wages Specialist.

The report was also presented on 24 February 2017 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, where it was followed by a round-table led by the Government on the «National Concept on Wage Policy Reform ». On this occasion, the first deputy minister of labour, migration and employment of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emin Sanginzoda stated the importance of the findings of the report for the national discussion on the reform of wage policies. The ILO expressed its commitment to support the development of the new State concept for reforming wage policies, as foreseen in the Decent Work Country Programme.
