    On 1 November 2021, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) invited key youth employment stakeholders to discuss, validate the results and identify potential priority areas in the study on youth employment opportunities in Ethiopia’s digital economy, in Afar and Somali regions.

    The ILO and UNHCR, with support from the Government of Netherlands, have initiated development of six multipurpose community centres which will offer safe spaces and socio-economic services for refugees and host communities.

    Refugee and host community apprentices graduate in Alexandria, Egypt

    On 7th August 2021, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Vocational Training and Employment Centre (VTEC) of the Alexandria Business Association (ABA) celebrated the graduation of 42 trainees from an apprenticeship programme being implemented in the context of the PROSPECTS programme.

    PROSPECTS Uganda: Dutch envoy inspired by refugees in Nakivale Settlement

    Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Uganda met with young refugees at the country’s oldest refugee settlement, and examined impact of ILO's entrepreneurship training programme, implemented with the support of PROSPECTS.

    From Assessment to Action: Designing and Implementing Inclusive Market-Based Solutions in Forced Displacement Contexts

    Based on the Approach to Inclusive Market Systems (AIMS), the training will build capacities and strengthen the knowledge exchange for teams and individuals involved in livelihood interventions for refugees and host communities.
