ILO to release latest Global Wage Report on the impact of rising inflation on wages

The International Labour Organization will publish the latest edition of the Global Wage Report on Wednesday 30 November 2022.

GENEVA (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO) will publish the latest edition of the Global Wage Report on Wednesday 30 November 2022.

The Global Wage Report 2022-23: The Impact of inflation and COVID-19 on wages and purchasing power, provides an overview of how a severe inflationary crisis, combined with a global slowdown in economic growth, has affected real monthly wages in many countries.

The report and all associated materials will be under STRICT EMBARGO until Wednesday 30 November at 16:00 CET (15:00 GMT).

For UNOG-accredited correspondents, an embargoed virtual press briefing will take place on Wednesday 30 November from 14:30 CET (13:30 GMT).

Manuela Tomei, Assistant Director-General for Governance, Rights and Dialogue; and Rosalia Vazquez-Alvarez, ILO Econometrician and wage specialist, will present the findings at the press briefing.

Login details will be sent to journalists ahead of the briefing. Recognized regional journalists will be able to follow the virtual briefing via YouTube. The link will be sent in advance.
