We had worked with the owners/operators in resolving the case, we were aware that the owners had agreed to pay the sum of $180,000 USD to have the matter resolved. Apparently from the owner¿s side this money was paid, but then the arresting party requested further money. We have informed the Georgian Registry, we also looked at whether the crewmembers would be able to have the vessel arrested in Libya but this was not possible.

Comentarios y observaciones:Fed. Int. de los Trabajadores del Trasporte (ITF) (17 Febrero 2011)
Conditions on board seem to be causing high levels of stress and psychological trauma on board, one crew member apparently destroyed the bridge equipment and set fire to the bridge, fortunately other crewmembers were able to extinguish the fire. Since then crewmembers personal belongings have been taken and thrown overboard.
