Act relating to Protection, etc., for Dispatched Workers (Act No. 5512). - Adoption: 1998-02-20 | Date of entry into force: 1998-07-01 | KOR-1998-L-51008 Provides for conditions of employment for temporary workers contracted out (dispatched) to other employers. Chapter II defines which types of employment may not rely on temporary workers and sets a maximum length of sub-contracted work of one year (with possibility of extension). This Chapter also requires permission from the Ministry of Labour to dispatch a worker and prohibits the use of dispatched workers in enterprises where there is an existing industrial dispute. Chapter III governs conditions of employment of dispatched workers, including such matters as contracts, notice to be given to dispatched workers, and medical examination of dispatched workers.

Minimum Wage Act (Act No. 3927 of 31 December 1986) - Adoption: 1986-12-31 | Date of entry into force: 1986-12-31 | KOR-1986-L-27216 The Minimum Wage Law applies to all enterprises to which the Labor Standards Law applies. It requires the Minister of Labour in collaboration with the Minimum Wage Council, by November 30 of each year, to determine the minimum wage for each category of industry and each classification of worker therein. Article 7 exempts certain workers from coverage of the Act, including the physically and mentally handicapped and "other workers to whom it is recognized as inappropriate to apply the minimum wage."
