Constitution of Georgia of 24 August 1995. - Adoption: 1995-08-24 | GEO-1995-C-46127 Chapter II deals with citizenship, fundamental human rights and freedoms. It provides, inter alia, for equality before the law regardless of race, skin color, language, sex, religion, political and other beliefs, national ethnic and social membership, origin, property and class status, and place of residence. Freedom of speech, thought, conscience, religion and beliefs is guaranteed. Section 26 provides for the right to establish and join a trade union and section 33 recognizes the right to strike.
