Notification of the consolidated text of the Act governing drivers of vehicles and streetcars (Drivers' Act). Adoption: 1987-02-19 | DEU-1987-L-3047 This text empowers the Minister of Transport to take steps to implement various directives of the European Community containing standards applicable to drivers (s. 2). It forbids the payment of certain bonuses unless they are related to observing safety precautions (s. 3). The Act also provides, inter alia, for supervision (s. 4) and for penalties to be imposed on employers and drivers in case of non-observance (ss. 7, 7a, 7b and 7c). It is based upon the Notification of 27 Oct. 1976 (BGBl., Part I, p. 3045).
