Merchant Shipping (Agreements) Act, (Act No. 3 of 1888 as amended up to Act No. 18 of 1989) -

Provides that agreements are to be made between the between the master of the ship and the seamen aboard. The agreement is to include wages due, duration of the contract and rules on board the ship.
