Second Region

Persons who were citizens of either the Republic of Tanganyika or the People's Republic of Zanzibar shall be deemed to have become citizens of the Republic of Tanzania effective from Union Day (26 April 1964). Disallows dual citizenship, and sets forth requirements for citizenship and procedures for naturalization.
