Abstract/Citation: Imposes the following duties on the employer: be responsible for the employee during their stay in the Maldives; to pay the salary before the 7th of each month, due for work done during the past month; to provide adequate food and accommodation to the employee for the duration of the employment; to pay all expenses as agreed in the contract; to pay the work permit and all related fees; and to pay for all the costs of repatriating the expatriate employee, in case the Government requests such, prior to the end of the duration of the work permit.
