Abstract/Citation: In particular, contains new provisions of the Social Code (Fourth Book) of 23 December 1976 (BGBl., Part I, p. 3845, as last amended by the Act of 8 June 1989 (BGBl., Part I, p. 1026)) on the social insurance identity card and registration requirements. The stated purpose is to assist in unveiling illegal employment relationships and to prevent fraud. The Act provides for measures to protect personal data. Consequential amendments and other minor amendments are made to the Fifth and Tenth Books of the Social Code, the Ordinance on government insurance, the Act on employee insurance, the Act on pension insurance in mining, the Employment Promotion Act (LS 1969-Ger. F.R. 1) and the Act on sickness insurance for farmers.
