| Abstract/Citation: | Establishes that every victim or witness in serious human rights violations has the right to get protection from the law enforcement and security apparatus of the State. Protection is to be given from the stage of investigation to that of inquiry, prosecution and examination during court sessions. Protection includes protection of personal security, keeping identity of victims and witnesses in secret, and provision of information during court sessions. Chapter III regulates procedures for providing protection; Chapter IV deals with financing. |
