| Abstract/Citation: | Makes provision for protecting children aged 15 and below against all types of work hazardous to their health and detrimental to their learning activities as well as their physical, mental, moral and intellectual growth and development. Provides for programmes on the control of child labour. These shall include: ban and abolition of all kinds of worst jobs for children; provision of proper protection for child workers carrying out light jobs; improvement of family income to prevent children from carrying out jobs as well as to create a climate in favour of child growth and development; and dissemination of control of child workers programmes to bureaucrats, politicians, social institutions and the public. |
