Abstract/Citation: Replaces and/or amends portions of, inter alia, the Law on Civil Service (1996), the Law on State Labour Inspection (1981), the Law on Employees in State Offices (1982), the Law on the Ombudsman (1987), the Law on Insurance Activity 1990), the Law on the National School of Public Administration (1991), the Law on the Common Health Insurance (1997), the Law on Customs Inspection (1997), and the Law on the Limits on Running Economic Activity by Persons Performing Public Functions (1997) to establish more comprehensive principles for the organisation, functioning and development of the Civil Service. Part I sets out General Provisions, Part II provides for the organisation of the Civil Service, Part III stipulates employment relationships within the Service, Part IV provides for the staffing of senior postions, Part V establishes procedures for alterations and termination of employment contracts, Part VI sets out the duties of Civil Servants, Part VII reviews their rights, Part VIII provides for training and development and Part IX stipulates the disciplinary liabilities of employees.
