Trade union organizing in Bangladesh's ready-made garment sector amidst COVID pandemic: status, challenges, and scope.

The specific objectives of the study are drawn from interpreting trade union organizing, fundamentally, workers have the right to form and join organizations of their own choosing, i.e. organize as trade unions. Such organizing for the formation of trade unions is embedded in the principle of Freedom of Associations (FoA)

The study focuses on the present enablers and challenges of Trade Union organizing by the workers from two of the RMG dense areas of Ashulia and Tongi, both in the time of Covid-19 and post-Covid new normal times. The study aimed at reviewing the status of FoA in the sample geographic location, along with identifying scope and role of the multipartite stakeholders to protect the right of workers including a set of policy recommendations as future advocacy instruments
