Tender ILO/EIIP ITB No 64/2019 Construction of Agricultural Roads and Retaining Walls in Marjeyoun Municipality and invitation to pre-qualification training.

The International Labour Organization (ILO) is implementing the Employment Intensive Infrastructure Programme in Lebanon (EIIP), in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Social Affairs and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The Programme is fully financed by the Federal Republic of Germany through KfW. The programme aims at creating short- to mid-term employment opportunities for Lebanese host community members and displaced Syrians through infrastructure works. At the centre of the programme is a so-called Local Resource Based Technology (LRBT) approach to infrastructure rehabilitation and improvement.

EIIP Lebanon is now inviting qualified bidders for “Tender ITB No 64/2019 Construction of Agricultural Roads and Retaining Walls in Marjeyoun”. The complete set of the bidding documents are available at following links (right-hand pane of this page):

The deadline for bid submission is 09 October 2019, at 11:00 am – all bids received after 11:00 am will be disqualified.

Pre-bid Training: 25 Sept 2019 from 09:00 to 15:00 at
ILO-Office, Aresco building 6th floor, Beirut.
Request for clarification deadline: 30 Sept 2019 COB
Deadline for submission of bids: 09 Oct 2019 at 11:00
Bid Opening: 09 Oct 2019 at 11:30.
 
The pre-bid meeting and site visit are compulsory.

Contractors wishing to submit their bids must include a certificate from an obligatory one-day pre-tender qualification training, which focuses on the specific requirements of LRBT and tender procedures. The contractor must enrol 2 staff in this training (i) one engineer and (ii) one director or procurement specialist. The one-day training will take place in Beirut on 25 Sept 2019 from 9.00 to 15.00 at ILO Office, Aresco Center, Justinien Street, Kantari, El Solh, Beirut, Lebanon.
