    Research report on the retirement age issue

    This study intends to answer the following questions through in-depth investigation: who are for and against the same retirement age for men and women, and why?; and what are the perspectives and demands with regards to the retirement age of people from various occupational groups (workers, technical professionals and cadres respectively) by gender and identity? In this way, the study aims to provide a practical and feasible basis for the modification and improvement of the retirement policy both for China's economic and social harmony as well as for progress towards greater gender equality and respect for women's human rights.

It is issued by the China Enteprise Confederation (CEC) in cooperation with the International Labour Office (ILO) to give CEC member companies practical guidance on how to take measures to promote equal opportunity and treatment and elimate discrimination in their company policies and practices.
