Decent Work Country Programme in Mongolia
Contributing to realizing decent work in Mongolia.
The Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) framework supports and furthers the National Plan of Action for Decent Work (NPA-DW). It outlines the strategic areas for which the ILO will provide the technical support and assistance to the tripartite constituents and partners. Having concluded the first NPA-DW, Mongolian tripartite partners are working hard to develop a National Decent Work Strategy (2010-2015). The DWCP sets out the priorities resulting from in-depth consultations with the constituents and partners. It prioritizes ILO action to ensure:
• Formulation and implementation of employment promotion strategies to address issues of sustainable livelihoods and poverty alleviation in the formal and informal economy;
• Better application of rights and improved security for targeted groups focusing on child labour, disabled persons, and forced labour; and
• Strengthened tripartism to support social and economic policy development and implementation.
