  10. ILO Knowledge sharing and strategic planning workshop for the implementation of mutual recognition of skills

To achieve ASEAN’s goal of freer movement of skilled labour, it is necessary for the ASEAN Member States to recognize the skills of other AMS especially for migrant workers. The ILO has initiated the implementation of Mutual Recognition of Skills (MRS) to assist ASEAN Member States in preparing themselves for a region with free flow of skilled labor. This meeting is the floor for representatives from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar (CLM countries) – as sending countries, and Thailand – as receiving country, to discuss review the current implementation in the selected two occupations for MRS and share the experience acquired respectively from the CLM countries.
