ILO-UNDESA-NSSF BPR Stream Workshop

The ILO-UNDESA-NSSF Business Process Review (BPR) Workshop took place on 15 - 19 July 2019 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The workshop was led by an international expert on business processes in social security and co-facilitated with an international consultant on digital transformation. 25 participants from NSSF across multiple departments attended the workshop. The workshop covers the concept of Business Process Reengineering with the participants and familiarised themselves with business process mapping and the reviewing of business processes. Together with the workshop facilitators, the NSSF cross-functional business process team mapped out key benefit processes and discussed how these processes can be improved to deliver better services and improve efficiency. This led to the drafting of the future state processes which documents possible enhancement to the process. The team is then tasked to continue the task of mapping other business processes. NSSF Business Process team is grateful for the contribution from ILO/Korea Partnership Programme for the funding and the organisation of the workshop to build capacity within NSSF.

  • To introduce NSSF BPR team on their role and objectives of the team
  • To equip the NSSF BPR team with basic knowledge of business process mapping
  • To enable the NSSF BPR team to question and improve business processes through the use of guiding principles

Expected outputs from the workshop are:

  • Participants to have a basic understanding of business process reengineering
  • Participants to be able to start mapping and updating existing business processes
  • Participants to produce business processes maps to be reviewed by the international consultants.
