  2. Joint Statement of the Fourth Joint Dialogue on labour migration between the ASEAN Confederation of Employers and the ASEAN Trade Union Council

    The Fourth Joint Dialogue of the ASEAN Confederation of Employers (ACE) and the ASEAN Trade Union Council (ATUC) was held on 14 February 2024 in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic. The dialogue was hosted by ATUC with support from the ILO’s TRIANGLE in ASEAN programme, in coordination with the ILO’s Bureau of Workers Activities (ACTRAV) and Bureau of Employers Activities (ACTEMP).

  3. Breaking Barriers, Building Futures: ASEAN Regional Dialogue on Young People’s Skills, Employability and Transition to Decent Work

    14 February 2024

    The “Breaking Barriers, Building Futures: ASEAN Regional Dialogue on Young People’s Skills, Employability and Transition to Decent Work” was co-organized by the ASEAN Secretariat, the International Labour Organization (ILO), and UNICEF in collaboration with the UNDP, UNESCO, and UN Women, through the endorsement of the ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Youth (SOMY) on 17-18 October 2023 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

  4. Fourth Joint Dialogue on labour migration between the ASEAN Trade Union Council and the ASEAN Confederation of Employers

    The ASEAN Confederation of Employers (ACE) and the ASEAN Trade Union Council (ATUC) and their country-level affiliates are meeting in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, on 14 February 2024 for a Fourth Joint Dialogue on labour migration.

    Local authorities at district and village levels play a key role in protecting migrant fishing boat crews from forced labour at sea

    The ILO’s 8.7 Accelerator Lab programme, in collaboration with its trade union partner, builds the capacity of local authorities of Pemalang district, known for its fishing industry, to better protect their migrant fishers through a Migrant Worker Resource Centre.

    The PAVE project builds on the ILO’s project Local Empowerment through Economic Development (LEED+) Project, which was supported by the Government of Norway and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The LEED+ project successfully used market systems to promote sustainable improvements in livelihoods.
